Proposing a Course
International Ecology School(IES) organizes field-based ecology courses in East-Asia Pacific region to provide opportunities for junior scientists to enhance their ecological research by introducing the newest ecological knowledge and advanced, cutting-edge technologies. IES accepts proposals on a rolling basis. If you are interested in hosting a course at your affiliated institution and contributing to nurturing junior scientists for next generation, please (1) request a proposal guideline, (2) prepare a course proposal according to the guideline, and (3) submit it here. Once a submitted proposal is received, the IES Office will send the proposer an acknowledgement of receipt. Proposers should allow one month for review.

Qualifications of the proposer(s) and the proposers’ affiliated organization(s)

The estimated amount of funding required, including tuition fee and in-kind contributions

Who May Submit Proposals
IES welcomes proposals from all LTER scientists. Proposals should be officially submitted by their affiliated organizations. Before formal submission, the proposal may be discussed with the appropriate IES program staff.

Proposal Review
Once a submitted proposal is received, the IES Office will send the proposer an acknowledgement of receipt. Proposers should allow one month for review. The IES Office will notify the proposer of approved awards.
